E-learning is learning or training which is undertaken using electronically based approaches. It can simulate tasks and work environments, give access to knowledge and accommodates many learning styles.  It is the responsibility of the provider to ensure that e-learning training is completed in a way that suits the trainee(s). Therefore, providers must decide how they wish to facilitate the e-learning training In considering how best to facilitate e-learning providers need to ensure that:

Trainees have access to a computer to complete their learning

Trainees have access to the internet

The learning environment is free from interruptions and distractions

Trainees have the necessary computer skills to undertake their learning

Description

This training course aims to give trainees knowledge and understanding in manual handling for industry and allows trainees to view realistic scenes and be tested on their knowledge retention. Unsafe manual handling is the most common cause of work related injuries. These injuries can cause personal suffering and loss of income, and also cost businesses and national economies. Injuries that arise from hazardous manual handling are commonly known as musculoskeletal disorders or MSDs. WARNING: This training course contains graphic re-enactments of accidents that may offend some viewers.

Durations: 30 minutes novice/experience/refresher
Course Ratio: Trainee 1:1

Accreditation:

Upon successful completion of the course trainees will be issued with a certificate which will be valid for 5 years. Note, A UKRS course standard is only endorsed when delivered by an appropriate instructor and accompanied by an accredited UKRS Certificate. Minimum Age Suited to age range of 16 years and above.

Assessment: E-learning interactive questions and end test.
